BOOK4KIDS project has been launched in South America

Project Suriname BOOK4KIDS 2009 has been succesfully launced by sending second hand Dutch school books to Suriname, where our partner foundation U-CARE of Wanica, Paramaribo, will collaborate for further distribution of these books to basic schools in Suriname. The project¬†BOOK4KIDS is one of several project cooperations between foundation U-CARE of Suriname and SIVA4KIDS foundation of The Netherlands, which started since 2007 and have already succesfully completed 2 PC4KIDS projects and several BOOK4KIDS projects the past years.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to Jooke van den Boomen, the chairman of the well known foundation Haagse Hopjes of Transvaal in The Hague, who has donated a very special encyclopedia books of Medicinal information to the students of Suriname. Further more our outmost thanks and appreciation to Geeta Bihariesingh, who has dedicated her spare time to collect second hand Dutch schoolbooks and donated these books to SIVA4KIDS Foundation for further transportation to Suriname, please be noted that this is the second year in a row that Geetha Bihariesingh has contributed this way to help the children of Suriname.

The second hand Dutch school books which are being transported to Suriname, has been collected, storaged and distributed to the basic schools in Suriname by “Stichting U-CARE” of Wanica, which are involved in development project for children, women and the community since 2006 in Suriname.

Completed | PC4KIDS Project Kotapuli, India

The inauguration report of the vocational computer trainning centre which is known as Project PC4KIDS¬†Kotapuli is now available. A few weeks after the succesful Pilot Project PC4KIDS was started we can finally¬†update you all who stood behind this very inspiring adventure of helping children in need.¬†This project was very much essential for the tsunami affected fisher’s village called Kotapuli, which is a nearby village to the world famous turistic place called Kanniyakumari of South India. The people of Kotapuli, Tirunelveli districht, Tamil Nadu, India, lost lost their houses, household materials, livelihood materials, etc. during the tusnami disaster still there is¬†no proper income because they didn‚Äôt go to their main business of catching fishes in the sea.

So most of the children, mainly girls of them are not going to school¬†to regularly to finish their education properly. For a month ago the cooperation between SIVA4KIDS Foundation¬†and the local NGO HELP of Kotapuli, started the first Pilot Project PC4KIDS Kotapuli to help 60 tsunami affected children (boys and girls). Now the results are here for your information’s.

The agreement between SIVA4KIDS.org and NGO HELP was to donate the computers and additional materials to start a vocational computer training centre which will benefit 60 children of this fisher’s village of South India. The first plan was to send 20 computers from Holland to South India but soon we realized that the cost of transporting of the goods will be double as much as if you would invest the half of the amount of the money to donate/invest on those mentioned materials on the budget.

As planned the NGO HELP started the project through the local community and city hall of the village which already donated a location for the computer training centre. HELP started the work together with specialists and local volunteers with the passion to realize something big after the tsunami. They did achieved something which were beyond their imagination. Inauguration Party

The inauguration party was well visited by the community of Kotapuli and surrounding communities also to join one of the biggest development projects which was realized through the help of a Foundation in Holland. Read more about the Inauguration Party on the next article about the appreciation by the ministry of Tamil Nadu, India, where MLA’s of South Indian politic joined the opening of the Project PC4KIDS Kotapuli. Project PC4KIDS Kotapuli in Tamil Nadu, India

Aim:
Siva for Kids Foundation’s aim through this project called PC4KIDS Kotapuli is to provide educational facilities to the kids (youth) through used computers to the tsunami affected¬† girls, youths and children and get them employment.¬†This¬†village called Kotapuli was damaged by tsunami disaster on the¬†dec. 26th 2004. This project provide in trainning the girls and boys¬†computer and¬† help them to start some business from their home. The need of the 20 Computers is to educate the youths and girls on computer training on 6 months and diploma course and prevent them from being child Labuor, bonded labour, uneducated also save the girls from sexual harassment and make their life better.

How will this project be realized?
The project should be realized as a Community project of Kootapuli as well as deprived poor people of Tamilnadu. The Community organization is formed in the name of Human Education and Liberation for Poor for establish this training center in accordance and democracy with rural people as per desired

Who will benefiet from this project?
The Children, Girls and Youths of the Tsunami affected areas such as Kotapuli, Perumanal and near by affected villages of Tirunelveli District, Tamilnadu, South India. They are based on fishing. They are fishing Community. All the other poor students who are not affected by Tsunami will¬† be also benefited by this project without any cost, creed, religious, gender, origin, etc.

Development plan
The educational facilities has been requested by local community themself. It is not something Siva for Kids Foundation has pushed ‚Äì the ownership & location for the trainning centre¬†is locally founded. The donation is a small one-off donation which will ensure a good environment for learning and progress for the children.

MUSIC4KIDS CD Album Release 17th June 2006

The long awaited music album MUSIC4KIDS of SIVA4KIDS Foundation has finally found the daylight. You all may know by now that this unique project which was made possible by upcoming and successful artists from different nationalities made it not only unique but a revolutionary way of listening to music and same time contributing to help children in third world countries.

Project MUSIC4KIDS begon last year July when the board members of SIVA4KIDS.org come across some young and motivated music producers during the yearly MILAN 2005 at Zuiderpark in The Hague. After almost a year the project MUSIC4KIDS is now completed with rich in experience and positive influences. The official release date of the most unique music album is on the 17th of June 2006.

Announcement: The first 500 orders by donating 10 euro mentioning “Music4Kids” on Giro 2913196 Den Haag will also get a free SIVA4KIDS.org key holder as the first 500 MUSIC4KIDS Album owners (This special arrangement is only for supporters from The Netherlands due to the transport cost).

AGNIPUTRA Malaysia | India
Agniputra have been redefining the tamil hiphop scene since early 2001. Big Ben, upon realising the potential of the tamil scene had recruited an aspiring emcee named Plato to share his vision and co-lead Agniputra. In Dec 2004, Wicked-Mindz Records, owned by Big Ben released a 6 track EP aptly titled ‘Mudhal Muyarchi’ (which literally means ‘The First Attempt’) on the internet to promote their effort and to gather feedback. ASHES BABOE Holland | Suriname
Born frozen in a Surinam Hospital sometime in the early eighties, Ashes and his mother moved to the Netherlands after her husband was murdered in the brutal 1982 “December Murders” . Growing up in a suburban, seemingly “decent” city that has a lotta shit creepin’ beneath the surface, Ashes got to feel a lot of different levels of life.

Connectin’ with HipHop from backspinnin’ on cardboard boxes, and digging for dusty records, his love for the music finally got itself a voice. BS ONE Holland | Suriname
A two-man formation Pro-X and Reshmay working on R&B/HipHip productions. They met each other in a music studio while recording a song. BS-One exists for four years now and they already wrote a lot of songs with big “hit-potentials”. Meanwhile they have given a whole lof of succesfull performances in the Netherlands as well as in foreign countries.

Some of the hightlights in Holland were their shows for MTV, Breakout, TMF, support act of Kelis, Warchild, Ahoy Kidsadventure, 010 City Games, Binnenstebuitenfestival, Rotterdam Import, Urbanstyle festival, Grote prijs van Nederland, Live for Life Festival, Waterlife 2003 and Clench flatland tour.
Their spectaculair live show together with their hiphop dancers and breakdancers is compined with rap and singing.

For the BS-ONE clique dancing means a lot. ¬†Their thoughts behind dancing is to bring a positive vibe: ‚ÄúWhile you‚Äôre dancing you got to express yourself and also throw out all negativity ‚Äù. Don‚Äôt hate, learn to apreciate. In other words you got to get krumped!!!!‚Äù The biggest source of inspiration for BS-ONE is ‚Äúthe world‚Äù because music comes in many forms, just like everyday life.
Reshmay takes care of the choreography. In June 2003 BS-ONE went to L.A., where Reshmay took classes from some of the famous choreographers: Marty Kudelka, Teresa Esipnosa, Wade Robson, Dante and more.

In L.A. they learned a lot more about the Urban rap and dance Culture wich inspired them to go back to Holland and release their first single ‚ÄòNaZtY‚Äô. For 6 weeks they succeeded to be nr.1 in the Urbanvibes charts on The Box Television. ¬†

CERIEL¬† Holland

Ceriel van Egdom is 27 years old and lives in Amersfoort, The Netherlands. Since he was a child he has a strong passion for music. When he was 6 years old he got his first keyboard and started to compose music. At the age of 9 he started taking piano lessons. He followed these lessons for over 12 years. Ceriel also started his radio show in his living place in 1995. The following years he presented a lot of shows for different radio stations and produced his own jingles, promo’s en sketches. Although presenting a radio show is a great deal to do for Ceriel; making music is still his most favorite thing.

In 2005 he had a hit which became quite popular in Holland (and specially in Utrecht.) He composed together with a radio colleague a student-a-like parody on the 2005 smash hit “Watskeburt”.
“I can’t put my music in a specific style, I compose music in very different genre’s. Sometimes dance or up-tempo pop, other times slow songs. Guess it depends on my mood.” So Ceriel says.

A music producer with a heart for music. He always experiments with news sounds, instruments, and soft/hardware for maximum performance.

A young talent who experiments with asian underground sound, club & hardstyle. Awinash Also Know as DJ NASH is 19 years old and lives in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. He was born in Paramaribo, Suriname, where Nash and his mother moved to the Netherlands in 1994. He always loved a original tracks that has been remix-ed, for example from R&B to House.

When he turned 12 he started to produce with a small program on the computer, that’s how he learnt remixing some easy songs. His unique style is really keen to ears and dancers where he spinss of almost every weekend.

Kumar Narayanasamy, today better known as DJ Qmar, was born in Jaffna, Sri Lanka. While he was still in childhood, his family moved to Denmark, where they have lived since 1987. EAGLE-i¬† Holland | Pakistan

This British Asian DJ Asuf Ishaq aka Eagle-I moved over from London to Amsterdam six years ago.¬† He took up the art of mixing and set on a mission to spread the Asian break beat culture in Amsterdam. After four years of mixing sounds in bars and clubs and a residency at Nomads bar/restaurant for a year, eventually he had to set up a decent platform for South Asian urban music in Holland, the drive was too strong and he did something about it.

When he got his first PC he downloaded Napster(¬± 6 years ago). Since that time he discovered the world of re-mixes.

Nitozzz is 20 and lives in Woerden, the Netherlands. The dj/producer who’s a true dedicator to music with heart and soul. At the age of 12 he already loved to explore music by playing guitar, drums & keyboard, but also creating mixes with his turntable & cd player. But he wanted more. He wanted to produce/remix music which has a unique style. So he learned the magic of hard/software and combinated it with his mind to create his own style.

Arun and Suthan were born in Jaffna, Sri Lanka and are now living in Bremen, Germany. Both of them were doing music since many years on their own way. Arun has got the talent to write excellent Tamil Raps which he also performed at stages like “Indian Nights”. Suthan was playing Tabla and Keyboard in different bands. Now he build up an own little Music studio “Essenz-records”,where he do his work as a producer for different projects.
After years Arun and Suthan found together and produced a Tamil Rap Album “Muthal Vanakkam”, which was the first Tamil Rap album released by Ayngaran in 2005.

Suresh Da Wun is Born in Jaffna (Nelliyadi), Sri Lanka. On his 6 years age, he went to India coz of the political situation in Jaffna, after 6 years he came back to Sri Lanka where he lived in Vavuniya for 6 years. He was known as a music-maker, dancer and a good announcer in Sri Lanka.

Thereafter he came to Netherland. Here in “Holland” he got the best possibilities to develope his musical talent to a top place as dj & as a GREAT TAMIL RAPPER. He raps in his mother language TAMIl & also in ENGLISH. He is only 4 years in Holland where he has grown big as an Sri Lankan Tamil Rap-artist in a short period of time.

Nowadays, he has many of stage performances done and still the legend continues. Really as a Sri lankan, as a Tamilan he proved that he can make on his Own talent in Holland through his inspiration from tamil rap songs and the one and only Tupac.
