International day of childrenrights

Posted on 21 November 2005 by S4K

Due to the international day of children rights on the 20th of November 2005 the youth committee of Rotterdam (Jongerenraad Rotterdam) organized a children-rights festival at NightTown in Rotterdam. Goal of the festival is to celebrate the UN convention on children rights of 1923 and provide focus on this theme and subjects to the children together with participants of national and international organizations who were working for the welfare of children in third world countries.

The Childrensrights festival contained a lot of workshops with interactive methods of providing information’s about the childrensrights to the children of The Netherlands.

ImageThe door went open at 1400 hours and the NightTown of Rotterdam went full of laughter and children activities. The festival was well organized with the participants of different children organizations like Amnesty International, children rights,  Siva for Kids Foundation, Greenpeace, Tos, Unicef & Kids United, Warchild and many more.
For a young and motivated NGO like S4K was this a great experience and opportunity to be there and provide information’s about the goals and projects of Siva for Kids Foundation together with the other international children organizations.
