The board of Siva for Kids Foundation is very happy and thankful for this donation, which will provide thousands of poor children writing-material in the third world countries for a period of 2-3 years.

On the 24th of Augustus the Ceo and founder U.K. Sivanathan took the pens litterally in hands from the Purchasing Manager of @Home Mr. J. Stortenbeek, at the headquarter/office of @Home in Groningen. In return he got material of SIVA4KIDS.org such as postcards, MUSIC4KIDS V1 album and keyholders.

Through this donation of @Home Company, Siva for Kids Foundation is able to launch several “Micro Projects” in Africa, Asia and South America, which will benefit thousands of very poor children in the 3rd world countries.

The goal of “PENS4KIDS” Project is to support children of primary school, whose parents have low or no income with these school-supply. ROC Amsterdam donates computers and printer

Posted on 28 January 2007 by S4K

On the 28th of January 2007 ROC Amsterdam ICT dept. of the school donated 10 PCs (+accessories) and 1 printer (View Gallery) for an upcoming ICT project in Paramaribo, Suriname. This PC4KIDS Project would be the first one of 3 PC4KIDS Projects of SIVA4KIDS.org in South America where a similar project is also in plan to be realized in Colombia for 642 children by  the support of a global ICT Company, which is also located in Amsterdam. The SIVA4KIDS foundation has realized similar projects for tsunami affected school children in Sri Lanka (2005) and in India (2006).

PC4KIDS SurinameThe PC4KIDS Project in Suriname is planned to be realized in coming June 2007. This is a very unique project since the project coordinator is not only a volunteer of SIVA4KIDS.org but also the ICT Teacher of the ROC Amsterdam School and the same volunteer went to the same basic school in Paramaribo during his childhood. Therefore the foundation is very enthusiastic about announcing another optimistic project which is coordinated by the Dutch Hindustan ICT teacher, Ashok Joerawan, who was born in Suriname. Siva for Kids Foundation is responsible for the transportation and monitoring of the progress of this project, which we expect to support the ICT development of the 196 children in the basic school in Paramaribo.

We are also very proud to announce when this project has been completed then SIVA4KIDS.org will be reaching a unique target of helping 1.000 children in 2 continents (Asia and South America) and 3 different third world countries like India, Sri Lanka and Suriname. All this was possible only because of the hardwork and positive actions from our volunteers and sponsors so far.

SIVA4KIDS.org is hoping to find companies which will be interested in supporting and sponsoring this project  in order to help the children of Suriname in Summer. If you are interested in joining this project as a volunteer, support or sponsoring this project, please email: info@siva4kids.org for more details. Thank you very much.

“Ik fiets voor Siva4Kids” is the sticker that some of the members and supporters of S4K put on their raincoat during the well-known “Ride for the Roses” (link www.ridefortheroses.nl).
This traditional bikes ride is organised by KWF Kankerbestrijding, a Dutch organisation against the Cancer. We at SIVA4KIDS.org are very much proud of our international volunteers had the time and courage to participate on this very respectful fundraise activity for cancer partients in The Netherlands.

More than 8500 participants attempted on this charity ride for 30, 50 and 100 Km, collecting a total amount of almost 600.000 Euros.
Between them the Undutchables staff (links www.undutchables.nl/) supported a mixed group of International bikers to take part to this ride. Some of S4K volunteers were there in the first line of this solidarity event. Domenico La Ferla (P.R. and communications S4K) and Emmanuel Olivier (Market Development S4K) were there to give their support, where Emmanuel says: “Bike is one of my hobbies but the reason why I am here is clear: we all bike against the cancer, UNITED WE HELP once again“. After 30 km biking under the rain, it is still lisible on his raincoat a red and white sticker “Ik fiets voor Siva4Kids“. Showing his pride for the Ride for the Roses.
